BatchVision (batchvision.art) is a free, browser-based batch image editor. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how long we keep it. We keep this short and honest.
Images you upload are sent to our server solely to perform the operation you requested (background removal, filters, export, etc.). They are never stored permanently, never shared, and never used for any other purpose. Temporary files are deleted automatically within 60 minutes of processing.
We do not use your images to train AI models. BatchVision uses pre-trained open-source AI models (BiRefNet, rembg). Your uploaded images are processed and immediately discarded — they are never fed into any training pipeline.
Our web server automatically records standard access logs when you visit the site:
These logs are processed locally using GoAccess, a self-hosted analytics tool that generates traffic statistics (visitor counts, popular pages, countries). No data is sent to any third party. Log data is deleted after 30 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
To prevent API abuse, IP addresses are held in server memory to enforce request limits (e.g. 30 requests per minute). This data is never written to disk and is lost when the server restarts.
We display advertising via Google AdSense (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). AdSense uses cookies to show personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour. We only load AdSense after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no AdSense cookies are set and no ads are shown.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
BatchVision itself sets no first-party cookies. We use browser localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your cookie consent choice. If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense may set third-party cookies as described above.
The server runs on Hetzner Online GmbH infrastructure in Germany. Hetzner processes data as a data processor under a data processing agreement.
